Self-Prescribed Complementary Medicines Purchased at Vitawell Wellness

• Complementary medicines should be treated with the same caution as prescription medicines.
• Using products self-prescribed can be risky for a range of reasons.
• Avoid the temptation to self-diagnose and self-medicate with supplements and herbs.
• Always consult with your prescribing medical or naturopathic practitioner about any health concerns and tell them about any complementary medicines you are taking or thinking of taking. We recommend you book an appointment before commencing any self-prescribed products.
  It’s important to understand the potential benefits and risks of any therapy, medicine or treatment. The complementary therapy you are considering may be safe and may work for others, but it may not be the best treatment for you.

The dangers of self-diagnosis and self-medication:

Health information on the internet can be misleading and social pressure to take responsibility for your own health can lead to self-diagnosis. You may want to self-diagnose and then decide to self-medicate with medicines bought online. This is very risky. Always see your doctor or naturopathic practitioner for treatment advice.

Vitawell Wellness and its consultants will not take any responsibility for damages caused by products purchased that are NOT INCLUDED ON YOUR CURRENT Treatment Plan, which is valid for 3 months.

21 – COURSES

Online Courses: you can enrol in online courses with us, including courses designed for Health Care Practitioners and non-Practitioners (general public)

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential; sharing your password with anyone is strictly forbidden.

If you share your login, your access to the Site and any Course will be immediately suspended. If you suspect a breach, you must notify us immediately so we can issue new credentials.

Course content is for your personal use only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or allow others to participate in the Course alongside you. Breach of this clause is a serious violation resulting in acknowledged loss of revenue for us, and standard liability limits will not apply.

21A – Enrolment Conditions:

You may apply to enrol in a Course through the Site, subject to any prerequisites described there. Your enrolment is only confirmed after all three of the following conditions are met:

1. We receive full payment (or the first instalment of a payment plan).
2. You satisfy any necessary course prerequisites.
3. We accept your enrolment request (which we may decline at our sole discretion).
4. Upon acceptance, we grant you a non-transferable license to access the Course Content via a third-party platform (currently Teachable) for 24 months from the course start date.

You acknowledge that your breach of this clause may result in a loss by us of revenue and profits.  Accordingly, the limitations and exclusions of your liability set out in clause 15.2 will not apply to your breach of this clause.

22 – DISPENSARY

Access to our online Dispensary is restricted to our existing patients

If you do not have a current and valid prescription from us, you will not be able to make a Request via the Dispensary.

You are responsible for ensuring that the letterbox at the nominated delivery address is a secure location for delivery.

We will validate your Request, including by confirming that you are a current patient, that your prescription has been issued by our Practitioners  and is valid (current)

You cannot change or cancel an Order because a change of mind. However, you may cancel your order by notice to us at dispensaryt@vitawell.com.au .

If you have not received your Order within 30 days from the date of the Order confirmation, you have a right to cancel under applicable law (including Australian Consumer Law).

If you have entered an incorrect delivery address when placing your Order with us and this has resulted in the package being returned to us, delayed or lost, we are not liable and we may charge you for the additional costs we incur in attempting to redeliver your Order to any updated address you notify to us.

If an order is returned to us or lost and it is not your fault (e.g. if we do not address the package to the address you specified in the Request or the package was lost by the shipping provider), we will resend those Goods and Services at no additional cost to you.

If for some reason you have no need of the purchase products due to sudden and unexpected events, we will not refund you; however, we will encourage you to contact us for donation to other current patients

23 – PRICES

All prices stated on our Site are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST unless specified otherwise.

24 – PAYMENTS

We use a third-party provider (Stripe) to process online payments made by you for Courses or for Products.  

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for errors or delays caused by the third-party payment provider.
